Villa Labuschagne

Taking what we had learnt from Eden Island, Ray put together something that was a little more in keeping with the Seychelles architecture and much more cost effective. A very comfortable place someone can home on the tropical island of Praslin in the Seychelles.

Together with Ray, we explored a fully timber structure, that had little impact on the surrounding flora, and used more natural products that didn’t require a lot of skill to put together. With the steep sloping roofs that aided with riding of rainfall quickly, the internal space was studied to make sure that it was still comfortable, using Sketchup to show a basic layout of the timber structure and its extents. Based on the final structure I put together a set of plans for the local authorities to study and provide feedback.
